A curated dinner, lecture, and conversation series.
Held monthly, this salon invites 10 participants to engage in discussion around pressing ideas — ranging from cultural genesis and the nature of change to the future of community and survival.
Structured around moments of silence, a recited lecture, and a shared meal, The Spaghetti Salon fosters a space for reflection, dialogue, and connection.
It’s about the power of localized communal thinking to build a cultural dictionary that lasts well into the future.
THE SPAGHETTI SALON
This flagship series is five lectures from American author Daniel Quinn, taken from his second novel in the Ishmael Series, “The Story of B.” Writing in the 1990s, Quinn explores two significant questions: “Why are things the way they are?,” and “How did we get to this point?” Aren’t there dozens of texts around these topics? Certainly. These lectures serve as an accessible introduction to the topics of Cultural Genesis, New Tribalism, and the Lean Economy. Rather than providing “the answers,” Quinn raises necessary and vital questions. Our species’ future on this planet depends not only on our asking these questions, but also on our doing something as a result of the asking. The Spaghetti Salon is about dinner table conversation, but it’s really about enacting the rest of life aware of our cultural consequence.

The salon as a cultural institution emerged in early modern Europe, particularly 17th-century France.
It became a powerful force in shaping intellectual, artistic, and political discourse. Salons were private gatherings where philosophers, artists, writers, and thinkers engaged in lively discussions on literature, politics, philosophy, and the arts.
The concept evolved over centuries, influencing movements from the Enlightenment to modern intellectual circles

From ancient millet noodles in China to spaghetti in Italy, instant ramen in Japan, and fideo in Mexico, pasta has become a truly global staple, evolving with trade, migration, and technology.
It remains one of the most accessible and beloved foods worldwide. -

Great question.
Like an acorn, SNP has been in a germination stage, “underground.”
2025 is the first year that projects will go live across each of our divisions: experiential, theatre, and film.
Experiental Art
Experiential Art is a participation based medium — something to feel, to move through, to embody.
It balances the boundary between artist and audience, creating immersive, participatory experiences that unfold in real time.
At Squirrel and Nut Productions, our installations are designed to engage the senses, challenge perception, and invite an active participation in the here and now.
